Federal government urged to support health practitioners.


The federal government has been called upon to take a very good care of the medical practitioners at the fore front of the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic in the country.

 

It follows the reaction of chairman, board of directors, city pharmaceuticals and allied partners limited, Mr Nnamdi Obi, who said the lack of basic health infrastructure is responsible for the inability of the health sector to contain the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

 

While presenting medical products to Lagos state government, Obi urged Nigerians and corporate bodies to support the government in its efforts to halt the spread of covid-19.

 

Obi, who is also the president of the association of pharmaceutical importers of Nigeria, said the firm decided to respond to the call to assist the Lagos state government because Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu had demonstrated exemplary leadership in the fight to contain the disease.
