Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, has described the 1963 constitution as the best document ever produced in Nigeria.
The governor stated this while declaring open the south west zone public hearing on the proposed alteration to the provision of constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria, 1999, held at the international culture and event center, (DOME) Akure.
Akeredolu who lamented that the people are losing confidence because a number of issues have been allowed to fester for too long, further said the 1963 constitution will address the minds and concerns of Nigerians
While wishing the committee a successful deliberation, Akeredolu urged them to take issues beyond the usual jamboree
Earlier in his Goodwill message, deputy Senate president, Ovie omo agege, represented by Senator Ajayi Boroffice,said the committee is committed and determined to carry out the review of the constitution.
