''Women should step-up, speak up'', Bolade Bola

As Nigerian women join the international community to commemorate the International Day of Women in Diplomacy today, A women advocate, Bolade Bola, has called on women across the world to abstain from barring themselves from exibiting their potentials.

In an interview with Penciti, she said before women start looking for government supports, they ought to first present themselves as valuable.

Bola also emphasized the need for governments, institutions, and organizations to create more opportunities for women to take up leadership roles.

On her part, Juliet Okon noted that women bring unique perspectives and valuable skills to leadership, explaining that while more women are breaking barriers in leadership and public service, challenges such as gender stereotypes, limited opportunities, and unequal access to decision-making roles still hinder them.

They therefore call for continued efforts to promote gender equality and ensure that women have equal access to opportunities in diplomacy and decision-making processes. They maintain that a more inclusive diplomatic system will contribute to sustainable development, peace, and global progress.
