Electioneering is a vital component of democracy, providing candidates and political parties with the opportunity to engage voters, present their manifestoes, and seek public support. It also enables citizens to assess the competence, credibility, and vision of those aspiring to lead them.

In Nigeria, election campaigns have evolved over the years with the increasing use of traditional and social media platforms. While these developments have expanded political participation and voter awareness, observers say the process has also exposed challenges that require urgent attention to strengthen democratic institutions.

Speaking on the issue, Eniola Omofemi notes that electioneering plays an important role in promoting political awareness and civic engagement. According to him, the end of the process is to ensure an election that is free and fair.

while calling for a review of the nations electioneering process, Omofemi, points out that nigerians have lost believe in it.

Also speaking, Emmanuel Adeoti explains that starting electioneering process a year to election does not give enough time to prepare for any election.

Adeoti further observes that the corrent election precess are wrong, calling on the electoral body to remain independent and unbaised.

While repremending nigerians on calling out the president, Adeoti called on the citizens to do their assignments right and abstain from selling their votes.
