NEW ONDO STATE REC REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO CREDIBLE ELECTION

 



The new resident electoral commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Ondo state, Dr Mutiu Agboke, has paid a courtesy visit to Glow FM, reaffirming the commission’s commitment to credible elections.


During the visit, Agoke reiterated the commission’s commitment to conducting free, fair, and credible elections in the state, while urging members of the public to actively participate in electoral activities.


The Resident Electoral Commissioner also emphasized the importance of the media in the electoral process, noting that INEC’s activities cannot achieve the desired impact without media collaboration.


Responding, the Chairman of Glow FM, Dr Ezekiel Akande, highlighted the station’s commitment to balanced and unbiased reportage. He commended the commissioner for the visit and assured the commission of a healthy working relationship.


INEC officials present at the meeting included the Administrative Secretary, Adenike Tadese; Head of the Voter Education and Publicity Department, Yinka Ogunseye; Head of General Administration Department, Ezekiel Oyediran; Head of the Legal Department, Stella Dike; HoD Finance/Acct., Makinde Musiliu; Public Affairs Officer, Rolake Odebunmi; Desk officer, Voter Education, Olabode Ajikan; and Protocol, Tunde Pelemo.
