Angry youths defile the conventional way of celebrating Democracy Day in Akure, the Ondo State capital today by occupying major roads in Protest against bad governance, kidnapping, banditry, unemployment and high price of commodities.
The Protesters who matched round Akure metropolis including the popular oba Adesida Road, Arakale, Ondo road, Nepa, Hospital and Oyemekun as the roads did not record influx of both human and Vehicular movements.
The Protesters carried placards with various inscriptions such as Buhari must go, constitutional review is a scam, we say no kidding, we say no to banditry , end terrorising among others.
While speaking, the leader of the Protesters, Barr. Tope Temokun said the Protest is not about succession but demand for good government.
Also Bukola Oyedemi said they are protesting against the systemic government that has continued to failed Nigerians and they want a change.
Other Protesters called on all stakeholders to rise up to it's responsibilities.
