The
Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has rejected the National
Business and Technical Examinations Board’s (NABTEB’s) Advanced Level as an
entry requirement for Direct Entry into tertiary institutions.
In
a statement by its Director of Admissions, Mohammed Ahmed, the board said the
directive became necessary following the discovery that relevant government
policies on A Level programmes do not permit NABTEB from conducting Advanced
Level examinations.
The
board also announced that registration for the 2022 Unified Tertiary
Matriculation Examination (UTME) and the Direct Entry (DE) examinations will
begin on February 12.
