Lagos govt warn residents against flouting order

The Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Dr. Idris Salako, has said that the State would, henceforth, descend on Property Owners and Developers found breaking government seals on any property that had been sealed for abuse of the Physical Planning Laws

The Lagos state government revealed this on its twitter page.

The Commissioner observed that some unscrupulous developers were in the habit of breaking government seals to carry out construction overnight, thereby endangering the structures as well as the lives of workers on site

While warning those fond of such acts to desist from lawlessness or face the full wrath of the law, he enjoined developers to secure Planning Permit from @LASPPPA1 as well as to notify the Lagos State Building Control Agency prior to the commencement of any construction works

Salako urged all residents to support government efforts to curb the menace of illegal and unapproved development, stressing that the State Government's enforcement team has already sealed 52 more unapproved structures for various infractions

The Commissioner urged all Lagosians to be part of the vanguard to checkmate the menace of illegal building construction by tipping off the authorities about any illegal development
