Management of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Ondo state formerly the Ondo State Polytechnic has officially announced that the 27th online matriculation for fresh students of 2019/2020 is slated for Thursday.
This was revealed in a circular letter with ref no. RUGIPO/DAA/ADM/Matric/Vol.II/4/22 signed and released by the school Director of academic affairs, M. Bashar few hours ago.
As contained in the letter, the 27th online matriculation ceremony for all the fresh students admitted into the institution during the 2019/2020 academic session will hold on Thursday, 3rd of December, this year.
Furthermore, the school rector and other management members of the polytechnic shall be in their academic gowns to present their matriculation address online by 11am prompt in the governing council chamber on same day.
Therefore, students and stakeholders should proceed to RUGIPO’s facebook account to join the live programme.
Students of the institution were instructed to log in into their accounts on the institution’s website – rugipo.edu.ng to access their matriculation number as well download the oath and re-upload after refilling it.
He, however, warned that the academic gown will be distributed to students by assigned faculty officer only for the purpose of photograph and other activities beyond that is prohibited to avoid breaching of protective measures against COVID-19.
In same vein, students are advised to return their gowns unfailingly in good condition after the ceremony and failure to adhere to this instruction will attract appreciate punishment.
