Incumbent deputy governor of Ondo State, Mr Agboola Ajayi, has dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress less than five months to the October 10, 2020 governorship election in the state.
The Deputy Governor tendered his resignation letter today at Akpoi Ward 2, in his home town in Kirigbo, in Ese Odo Local Government Area of the State where he also obtained the PDP membership card.
Speaking at the event, Ajayi said he decided to join the PDP in order to bring more development to Ese Odo Local Government and the state at large
Agboola noted that he has not resigned as the deputy Governor of the state.
He also reacted to his ordeal with security Operatives at the government house.
PDP Chairman in Okrigbo, Mr. Festus Okporo said PDP has been the home of the deputy Governor.
Meanwhile, there has been a cold war between Ajayi and Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and this became visible shortly after the 2019 general elections.
