Children's day of sober reflection - Ondo State First Lady, Aiyedatiwa


The children in Ondo State have joined the Nigerian community of children to celebrate this year’s National Children’s Day celebration with the theme, Future now: Promoting inclusion for every Nigerian child.

‎Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, said his administration will continue to strengthen its commitment to the protection and welfare of every child in the state.

‎The governor, who was represented by his deputy, Olayide Adelami, stated this at the Children’s Day celebration held at the Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Arcade in Akure, the state capital.

‎Wife of the governor, Esther Aiyedatiwa, while calling for equality and better treatment for children, described the celebration as a sober reflection for children, parents and teachers in captivity.


‎Also speaking, the State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Bose Osamaye, said the theme serves as a timely reminder that every child matters.
