Following the recent spike in the rate of COVID 19 in Nigeria, Ondo State Government has warned residents that failure to wear a mask in public could land them in prison.
The chairman, Ondo state inter – ministerial committee on covid- 19, Prof Adesegun Fatusin who disclosed this to journalist in Akure the state capital said the enforcement starts on January 1st 2021
Fatusin who advised people above sixty years to stay away from large crowd stated that Schools in Ondo state will no longer open on January 4th, 2021 as earlier announced .
In his words, acting commissioner and Special adviser to the governor on health, Dr.Jibayo Adeyeye said ondo state government has resolved to support the federal government’s determination to curb the spread of the pandemic.
