The Ruling Political Party in Ondo State, the All Progressives Congress, APC has Cleared 14 of 18 local Chairmanship Seats in the state.
Result for the remaining four local government areas are yet arrive at the centre collation centre in Akure as of the time of filling this report.
The APC candidates were today declared winners of Saturday’s local government election conducted in the 18 council areas of Ondo State.
Declaring the winners, ODIEC, Chairman, professor Yomi Dinakin said election no election took place in five local government areas of the state yesterday during the council polls.
According to Dinakin, the five affected council areas included Akoko NorthEast, Ose, Ifedore, Odigbo and Irele and their returned chairmen are Omojola Asimiyu, Denis Adekunke, Alex Akinyemi, Mrs Temidayo Akinsuroju and Segun Ajimotokin respectively.
In other local government areas where the exercise was conducted, Folawa Aluko emerged the chairman of Ese Odo local government, Adurodoye Paul won in Akoko South East, Gbenga Olaniyi emerged the chairman in Akure South, while Olamigoke Ojatuase was declared winner in Ilaje Local Government.
Others are, Akinsuroju Temidayo for Ileoluji Okeigbo, Igbekele Akinrewa in Okitopupa, Akinsulure Ebenezer emerged the chairman in Ondo West, Adegbebi Samuel for Owo Local government and Bankole Gabriel Ogbesetore for Akure North Local government.
Other local government areas results yet to arrive the collation centre are: Akoko Northwest, Akoko South West, Idanre and Ondo East while, the announcement is expected to resume by 7pm today.
