The APC candidate of the Akure South Local Government, Barr. Gbenga Olaniyi has emerged as the Winner of the Chairmanship Elections held on Saturday in the State.
Presenting the Result to ODIEC, the Returning Officer in charge of the Local Government, Prof Ogunbodede announced that Olaniyi polled 24238 votes, while his runner up Gbenga Fasua of the SDP polled 2899.
He however, Declared Olaniyi the winner of the Election.
