Despite pandemic Wike embarks on infrastructural development


Rivers state government has not neglected other areas of livelihood despite the ravaging coronavirus pandemic in the state and country at large.

The state Governor Nyesom Wike who revealed this on his official twitter handle said, some infrastructures are expected to be completed in no distance time.

Wike during an inspection at some sites today expressed satisfaction saying the projects will be completed earlier than planned.

"From today's inspection we are happy Julius Berger is ahead of schedule on the 3 Flyovers being built in Port Harcourt, one (Rebisi) would be finished and in use by October and the next (Rumuogba) would be finished a month later. Our intention is to provide basic infrastructure"

According to him the structures will make the state envied by other states in the contry.

"that will improve economic activities of the state and make Port Harcourt among the best cities in the country."

"With the contract signed, Julius Berger is also to commence the expansion of the Rumuola Flyover while plans are on to build a fourth one by the GRA junction."
