President of the Civil Rights Congress of Nigeria and Chairman of Hand-in-Hand, Africa, senator Shehu Sani has called out states that are considering to re-open schools.
The public affairs analyst while speaking on his twitter page, charged the state government concerned to think about the lives of their citizens.
Senator Sani wrote "States in a rush to reopen schools should seriously consider the lives of those multitude of children in congested public schools;Its a fact today,many people have completely ignored face masks & social distancing since the lifting of the http://lockdown.No lessons learnt!
Reacting to the post, some Nigerians said they only fear hunger and armed robbery not coronaVirus.
"Markets have being opened, Places of Worship all without fellowing social distancing protocols. And we are still alive, So you mean those children don't go to places of worship? It's better we save our Educational system that is one the verge of collapse
Another however supported the senator for his statement.
"Guy we no dey fear coronavirus again,we day fear arm robbers and hunger. 😢😢
Another said the covid-19 cases in the country is been politicised.
"My reply might be savage one but at least am telling the truth there is politics in dis covid 19 becos since that time my income stop becos I tech in private school but here in Kaduna dey reopened market but why school."
