Buhari calls for drastic steps to combat drug abuse.

Nigeria's first lady, Aisha Buhari has advised the government agencies on the abuse of drugs.

She gave the advice on the celebration of International Drug Day.

The first lady on her official twitter handle said the aim of eliminating drug abuse requires a total blockage of identified channels of supplies.

Drug abuse is a multi-faceted problem requiring a multi-dimensional approach which should aim at striking a balance between drug demand reduction and total blockage of identified channels of supplies if the ongoing campaign to eliminate drug abuse is to be successful
