Ondo state house of Assembly has approved the elongation of the interim management committees of the 18 local government areas of Ondo state for a period of two months.
The elongation is coming on the heels of the letter sent to the house by the state Governor, Arakunrin Akeredolu to extend the tenure of the interim committee
The Speaker, Bamidele Oleyelogun directed that the 18 caretaker chairmen must report at the office of the chairman, house committee on local government and chieftaincy affairs, Mr Samuel Aderoboye by Monday.
It would recall that the 18 interim caretaker committee was adopted and approved by the house 6 months ago, now that their tenure has expired, their elongation is needed to fast track dividend of democracy at the grassroots.
