Covid-19: Bauchi govt distributes palliatives


Bauchi state governor, Senator Bala A. Mohammed has revealed that 2020 Farming season and the Office Chérifien des Phosphates OCP Africa covid-19 palliative support project has been launched.

Mohammed stated this on his twitter handle, saying about 5,000 registered farmers will benefit from the support project.


"Similar to our earlier intervention as a state a few weeks ago, today, to the excitement of our farmers, we launched the 2020 Farming Season and the OCP Africa COVID19 Palliative Support Project."

"Under the support project, no less than 5,000 registered farmers in the state would receive two bags of fertiliser each at subsidised rates."

He revealed that, tricycles and motorcycles were distributed today.


"Also, I launched today, the distribution of tricycles and motorcycles to selected farmers to assist them in their farming activities. This is a good time for agriculture in Bauchi State, especially as we have begun seeing the dividend of the state’s agricultural policy."
