A customary ruler in
Osun State, Oba Adejoro Otebolaku, the Owalare of Ilare, has said the ruler and
his child blamed for assaulting a 14-year-old young lady (name retained) as of
late would not go unpunished whenever discovered guilty.
While denying any
association in the sex embarrassment, Otebolaku, a noticeable individual from
Ijesa North Traditional Council, said a ruler under his domain in Obokun Local
Government Area of the state, Oba David Ogungbemi, the Aketewi of Iketewi, was
the character engaged with the assault adventure.
The Owalare in an
announcement in Osogbo charged columnists to direct legitimate examinations on
the sex outrage. He guaranteed the overall population "that suitable
approvals would be allotted on the ruler in question in the event that he is
discovered at fault of the horrifying demonstration."
Owalare explained that
the media reports during the week that a conventional ruler in Ilare land was
caught by the police over assault and impregnation of a 14-year old young lady in
the town was not him but rather Oba Ogungbemi.
It would be reviewed
that Oba Ogungbemi and his child, Idowu, were captured by the Osun police order
for the supposed assault. It was assembled that the casualty was living with
one Esther Ogungbemi, who was her dad's sister in Ilare, Obokun Local
Government Area of the state.
Their were claims that
they contaminated the young lady and engaged in sexual relations with her
forcibly. It was after the young lady became pregnant that her watchman
answered to the police.
In the interim, the
state police order through its Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Yemisi Opalola,
has expressed that the said ruler and his child were still in the Crime
Investigations Unit of the order for examination.
