Chairman, Ondo State Inter-ministerial Committee on COVID 19 Adesegun Fatusi, Chairman, has said no coaching centre in the state had been authorised, inspected and approved to operate.
Fatusi who gave the clarification during a press briefing on COVID 19 explained that the coaching centres had to be inspected for COVID-19 by the Board for Adult, Technical and Vocational Education, before they were allowed to open.
According to Fatusi, the preparations of the classes have to be inspected, like done with schools, to ensure they are safe, prepared and fulfilled the guidelines for prevention of COVID-19.
In his words, the State Epidemiologist, Dr. Stephen Fagbemi disclosed the total investigated cases as 4,419, confirmed cases as 1456, and presently 245 cases are still active and 29 deaths.
