Ondo state governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has expressed confidence in the screening exercise conducted by the All Progressives Congress APC governorship screening committee in the state.
The governor speaking on his official twitter handle lauded the party for choosing the best set of people to conduct the exercise.
"All documents were scrutinised" he added.
"I have just undergone screening by my party @OfficialAPCNg. Members of the committee were thorough, scrutinizing all documents amongst other questions. I believe the party made excellent choices of the committee members. Very professional and courteous.
It was reported that, on Monday APC in a statement made available to newsmen by Yekini Nabena, the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of APC, the party inaugurated its screening committee.
The party appointed former interim National Secretary, Tijjani Tumsa, to chair the screening committee and Umar Lawan-Kareto to chair the screening appeal committee.
Others in the screening committee are Solomon Johnny, Ayobami Oyolawo, Princess Gloria Akubomdu, Eugene Udo, Usman Dalhatu, Fati Bala, Okay Onyejekwe and Shehu Adamaraji (Secretary).
Also in the appeal committee are Ibrahim Ebbo, Christian O. Ogwo (Rtd.), Danladi Chambas, Imabong Ubo, Odeh Sam, Mojeed Alabi, Opeyemi Ajayi and Andrew Uchendu (Secretary).
