The main political family of Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, the Grassroot Development Initiative (GDI) Worldwide, has blasted the founder of the Movement for Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, following his recent attack on the governor and grand patron.
GDI, gave Uwazuruike a 24-hour ultimatum to tender an unreserved apology to Rivers people and the world for calling Wike unprintable names while reacting to the demolition of two hotels in Port Harcourt by the governor.
The MASSOB leader in a viral video had reacted angrily to the governor’s decision to pull down two hotels for violating his Executive Order on COVID-19 threatening to lead an uprising in Rivers capable of sacking Wike as governor through an emergency rule.
But rising from a meeting in Port Harcourt, leaders of GDI condemned Uwazuruike for disrespecting the office of the governor of the state and deploying many unprintable names to describe Wike.
President of GDI, Bright Amewhule, who read the common position of the group, said Uwazuruike went personal to attack Wike because the demolished hotel in Eleme Local Government Area was used as a camping ground for the MASSOB leader’s thugs.
