The new commissioner of police CP in Ondo State, Bolaji Salami has expressed the readiness of the command to be neutral ahead of the primary elections of different political parties in the state, while charging police officers across the state to adopt the principle of visibility policing in order to combat crime in the state.
The new CP who assumed duty last week gave the charge in Akure at his first official meeting with senior officers of the command.
He also noted that the state command will ensure adequate provision of security before, during and after the October 10 governorship election in the state.
He noted that the command and neighboring States of Edo and Kogi are mapping out a strategy to combat crime at the state borders.
