Kidnapped Nigerian journalist regains freedom


An authority say the seized authority of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Chinyere Okoye, has recaptured opportunity.

 

Mrs Okoye, who is the associate chief, news, current undertakings, at NTA Channel 6, Aba, Abia State, was abducted on Wednesday in Aba after she shut from work.

 

Despite the fact that data about her discharge was as yet scrappy, it was found out that she recovered her opportunity on Friday morning.

Mrs Okoye was purportedly discharged on Friday after agents of the State Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) and other police strategic units raged the ruffians lair.

 

Mrs Okoye, after her discharge, was taken to the SARS office in Aba, where she was later joined by her relatives and companions.

The proprietor of the property where the NTA columnist was kept was purportedly captured while the abductors fled.

 

The Commissioner for Information, John Okiyi, affirmed the arrival of the columnist.
